Community Shelter Project is a Project by South Aston Community Association SACA - registered charity. We opened our doors to provide Homes for families with Children. Then other issues such as food and clothes became priority. Since then we have partnered with other charities in the local area and we are now able to provide regular food parcels and clothes for all our beneficiaries.
We have the full support of Tesco, Fareshare who are currently donating hundreds of pounds worth of food every week for the life of the project and numerous local Property Development Companies who have kindly donated their properties in a partnership arrangement for our use.
Community Shelter Project - a new project launched to HOUSE, FEED and CLOTHE the Homeless.
The aim of The Community Shelter Project is to provide immediate emergency high quality accommodation for families and children who have been made homeless by means of landlord and mortgage company eviction/repossession.
Our accommodation stretch across Wolverhampton, Birmingham & Walsall. They are furnished to a very high standard. We provide FOOD and CLOTHING donated by our partners and the general public.
"Community Shelter Emergency Accommodation is supported by the Lloyds Bank Social Entrepreneurs Programme, in partnership with School for Social Entrepreneurs, and jointly funded by Big Lottery Fund. The programme is helping us learn the appropriate skills to deliver this project to the highest possible standards countrywide."
